NACHRICHT

Digital solutions for a sustainable and humane society

New client needs, combined with the fast technical development, mean entirely new opportunities to create a digitalization of society that makes a real difference. Therefore, Knowit and Cybercom are joining together to become a Nordic partner with a joint offer that meets the needs of tomorrow. Our client offers complement each other well. We share common values and create an even more attractive workplace. Through our Nordic DNA, we also become a strong partner to our clients on the journey toward a sustainable future.

Complex problems require more integrated solutions and a broad competence. This is one important reason that Knowit and Cybercom are creating a Nordic powerhouse for digital solutions that contribute to a sustainable society. The high demand for digitalization is here to stay. This holds true for both private and public organizations. The development is an effect of changed customer behaviors, but also a consequence of new technology and innovations that make it possible to develop smarter and more sustainable solutions.

Knowit and Cybercom complement each other well and will, through the merger, become an attractive collaboration partner with a strong employer brand and a shared vision of driving and accelerating the digital transformation toward the sustainable business models of tomorrow. Knowit is already well-positioned in digital transformation, with a broad competence in system development (Knowit Solutions), web and e-commerce (Knowit Experience), and strategic consultancy (Knowit Insight). With Cybercom’s specialization in mobility, IoT, cloud-based solutions, and the growing area of cybersecurity and societal security, the offer is strengthened, in particular toward clients in the manufacturing and telecom sectors. A new business area, Knowit Connectivity, will be created, and Knowit will grow from 2,600 to 3,800 employees.

“Through this deal, we become a Nordic powerhouse for digital solutions, a highly attractive partner to both clients and employees, while also creating the conditions for a continued strong growth journey,” says Per Wallentin, President of Knowit, in commenting on the merger.

The two organizations will be gathered under the brand Knowit. The new business area Knowit Connectivity will be headed by Annika Nordlander, who has been head of Cybercom’s Swedish operations.

“Cybercom has for many years had a very strong position among clients in the manufacturing industry and telecom. Our two companies complement each over well and together we can grow further on all our markets. We share a vision to contribute to a sustainable society and we believe that is very attractive to our competent and ambitious employees,” says Annika Nordlander, EVP of Knowit Connectivity.

In all, the new Knowit will have around 3,800 employees in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland and Poland.

The deal is expected to be finalized during the summer, pending approval from the Swedish Competition Authority and a decision from an extraordinary general meeting of Knowit on May 28, 2021.

Knowit has issued an invitation to a webcast to present the acquisition on May 5 2021 at 10:00 AM. The presentation will be held in English. Link to presentation: https://www.investis-live.com/knowit/608bd09323de2919000370b9/khjb. The presentation will be available even afterwards.
